Give the gift of literacy
Fox Valley Literacy is a tax-exempt, charitable, Wisconsin nonprofit corporation and donations to it are tax-deductible. You can help in a number of ways:
Honor a Friend by Donating to Literacy
Honor friends or family members who say they “need nothing.” Instead of trying to come up with the perfect gift, celebrate their next birthday, holiday or anniversary by making a donation, in their name, to Fox Valley Literacy. We will send an acknowledgement of the gift that was made in their honor.
Memorials
Honor your loved ones and support the efforts of Fox Valley Literacy through a memorial donation.
Matching Gift
Many people are surprised to learn that their employer may match the gift that they donate to support adult literacy. Ask your employer if they will match donations to Fox Valley Literacy. Many companies may even double the match of the employee's gift depending on the amount and nonprofit.
Planned Giving
Planned giving integrates a donor's charitable gift with your overall financial, tax, and estate planned goals to maximize benefits to both the donor and Fox Valley Literacy. Achieve your personal financial goals and help fight illiteracy with a long-term donation through planned giving. Please contact our office for more information. (920) 991-9840.
Become a Friend of Literacy
Friends of Literacy are critical to the financial well being of Fox Valley Literacy. Through your donation you can help the organization continue to provide learning materials and free tutoring services to benefit the adult learners we serve with literacy needs.
Encourage Your Church or Synagogue to Support Literacy
If your church or synagogue has a mission rooted in community development or social justice, they may be looking for ways to donate their time and financial resources. Because so many other problems stem from illiteracy, helping people learn to read, write, and understand math will help benefit our entire community.
Donate Educational or Office Supplies
Donated office supplies and materials, such as 3-ring binders, pencils, pens, calculators, and paperback dictionaries can help make learning more affordable for Fox Valley Literacy students on limited budgets. We welcome donations of all kinds of office supplies, including reams of white or colored paper, envelopes, white erase boards, and markers. To donate educational or office supplies, please contact us at (920) 991-9840.
So where does the money go?
Your gift to Fox Valley Literacy allows us to train and support volunteer tutors, buy books and other materials for students, and provide them with a place to conduct their lessons both now and in the coming year. When used to train and equip tutors, your financial support touches people across our community and improves the quality of life for our students and their families. Reading and speaking English are some of the most important skills needed to reach goals adult learners never thought possible. Invest in the future of our neighbors and the Fox Valley community.

Thank you for supporting
Fox Valley Literacy.
“So often, we receive donations in memory of someone who cared deeply about Fox Valley Literacy or the issue of literacy. As a result, a memorial plaque called the “Circle of Giving” now hangs inside the front door of Fox Valley Literacy's office. The purpose of the plaque is to honor people when their family and friends give donations in memory of their name. Now, when Fox Valley Literacy is identified as the charitable organization to receive memorials, the name of the person in whose memory the memorial is given, is engraved on the plaque.
It seems only fitting that these caring people are honored on the walls of our office as a lasting tribute.”
