Literacy Education Services, Inc., founded in 1974 by Billie Pollard, is the oldest literacy provider in the  Fox Valley. LESI became a partner with Fox Valley Literacy Coalition in 1990 and both groups provide one-on-one tutoring and small group classes where students learn to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.  Some students also want help studying for the Citizenship test, to improve their math skills, or to earn their GED/HSED.

LESI offers:

Free one-on-one tutoring
Free small group classes
Free babysitting on Wednesdays from 1:00-3:00
Free parking
Ample classroom space
30 minute Small Group Conversation/Sharing sessions on Wednesday afternoons
An Awards Program to recognize student's achievements
A Tutor Training meeting to improve teaching techniques or gain knowledge in literacy
